Declaration of Historical Principles (ZABR_Pub_Dec_006)
The ZABR issued an official Declaration of Historical Principles. It recognises the historical sovereignty of more than 21 Boer Republics and makes a firm commitment to the preservation of historical truth, the protection of heritage sites, graves and monuments, as well as the reverent commemoration of our ancestors' struggles, sacrifices and sufferings, for the sake of freedom, justice and self-determination.
The statement emphasises stewardship, corrective historiography and the Boer people's own responsibility for their legacy.
